The 790 has been a great tractor but I am pushing its limits. Am going to trade up. My father is trading an 04 4310 loader hoe in good shape. Will this fill my need? need more 3pt lift (pallets of wood) and faster hydraulics (splitter) and want hydro for mowing. This last snow also made me realize how light the 790 is no traction.

Also wondering if anyone has the correct specs on the hydraulic system. conflicted I've read 8 and 14gpm.

If it were me I would go larger if you need more gpm hydraulics, I would consider a 4105 on the cheap or better a 4120. This would be a noticable difference in tractor size and abilities. I would think you would be best off deciding what you really want an need to do your work and then look around for the best deal new or used.

Thanks for the input guys. It's gonna be one of those too good to pass up deals. Almost an even swap. He's getting something with a cab hopefully a 4720. So that means the backhoe won't work and he still needs it so he wants me to have it. I've used the 4310 and it seems like a great tractor. Won't know how to act not having to shift, all I've ever run

Our friends on 214 have a 4720 with cab in stock. It has my foot prints in it.

Any slobber or drool?

The cab is nice Kenny. I'm not 100% sold on how they do the linkage for the FEL, and I'm just not sure its built as well as the 4400 frankly. Again, don't real tractors all use zerks all over the place? Maybe I just need to get over things like that, but it is a boat load of money, and it probably won't snow here for five more years...

The one thing I saw on all the 3x20 and newer machines is in addition to the water seperator for the fuel, they have an external fuel filter. Good addition.

The cab unit's sure are the cat's meow. The price on these cuts is pretty high compared to performance. If your looking for bigger performance and more bang for your buck then look into a utility tractor.
