This is the same pump the 425 uses, in a smaller displacement. In the 1430, the displacement is 28 cc. The 425 uses the 21 cc version (M4PV21-21). I suspect the other numbers are the same as well since they refer to the mounting format, SAE fittings and such.

If I were betting, I'd bet this isn't the original pump on the tractor. It's probably the original model, just not the original pump.

After i finished sulking, i called terry. He confirmed i had the correct pump. I called B&P and they gave me a dealer in missouri (closest to me). The missouri shop seems to think they can rebuild it for 200-300. They also sent me a parts diagram to see if i wanted to do it myself. I wanted to finish some things before i put the tractor down. So I'm trying to stretch it until September. Regardless everyone feels that if you lose power when the machine gets warm and your engine doesn't bogg down, it is the pump.

Does anyone have experience rebuilding Bondioli and Pavesi pumps? I cannot find any "how to" videos or literature. The dealer in Missouri sent me a parts breakdown and told me if I felt comfortable doing it, I could rebuild it myself and they'd send me the parts. The dealer said one special tool is needed to keep "something" in place.

B&P pumps are VERY rare in the US. I doubt you'll find anything. Also, if rebuilding yourself, you can't allow ANY contamination or you're asking for future problems.

You can buy the pump brand new for about 20% more than the rebuild cost at PT. However, it's a four month wait because it has to come from Italy. With PT, you get a very fast turn around. All depends on your priorities and price sensitivities.
