We belong to a trail club that used those "waterproof" ammo boxes for field notes. There not, and had to drill holes on them to let it out. They might have been OK for the First 20 years.

I think that's the direction I'm going to go with. I didn't want to go with an ammo can because, well, I've just always been surrounded by them. I, am kick of sick of them- but I can not find anything better.

Maybe I'll paint it up nice and pretty, or some such thing.

The only reason I like a larger toolbox, say 20x10x8 is because I can fit a chain in there with chain accessories. On the NH, it fits nice behind the seat. Fuel tank is there on the CK, which is much more convenient to fill fuel. I'm trying to find a better way to carry chain, PVC tube etc. Just no decent convenient place to put it on the CK. Don't want on bucket hooks, too noisy, or wrapped around 3PT arms like my other tractor. I took mirrors off, so possibly mount a vertical tube with cover there...

That's the problem with the CK, the fuel is where you'd put a large toolbox. Mounting on the ROPS works great for smaller boxes, but large ones would be harder and perhaps even in the way over the fender.

Right hand side under the floor boards, between the tires. You could darn near fit a full underbody box.

That does have potential, but not for me; I'm 6'5" with bad knees, it would hurt getting down there.

If I could fabricate it, something that could slide out and open up, that would be extremely useful.

I replaced the plastic Kubota box with a metal Amazon box. Bought a 2 pound sledge and 12" crescent at HF. Removed the hammer handle and welded it to the crescent wrench. Now it's a do all tool.

That's where I carry my saw gas and bar oil. Not enough room for a tool box though.
