No hoyt-clagwell.. or whatever green acers made up for the fordson tractor they 'rebranded' and used.. huh?

The original opening of the show had "Oliver" on an old Deere "BR", then later, in the scenes of the show itself, that ol' Fordson, er, Hoyt Clagwell.

On the subject of tractors in novels: I am a big WEB Griffin fan. For those of you who aren't familar with him, he writes fiction based on military history. In one of his novels, he has a Chinese wife of a "China Marine" owning and driving a Fordson. In another, he has the father of a Special Forces soldier killed in the Congo operating a tractor when the notification team arrives. I'm not sure, but I think it was a Massey Ferguson. I'll have to check and make sure.
