Isn't 3/8" thick metal considered sheet metal?
I was thinking you classified it with foil.

I tried to watch it but after about 5 minutes of downloading I was only able to view the first 40 seconds and then the infeed stopped. I'm in the country and have satellite internet service but it is not very fast and this happens a fair bit.
I did watch another video this morning before heading back out to the shop and I think that, combined with your pics helped. Anyways I only made 2 cuts today and I was very happy with the outcome. Here is a pic of one.
I don't know why the second pic is there. It shouldn't be. I tried to delete but can't.

Very informative video, I picked up a couple things that I've been doing wrong, he puts out videos that are fairly easy to understand, I like em!

Does anyone here angle the torch forward? I was taught to keep it straight, but when doing thicker stuff (3/8 or more) I feel I get a little better cut angling the torch so the flame is leading the tip maybe 15 degrees or so. Am I crazy?

Mike, I angle the torch, especially on thin material. It's all a matter of tip size compared to metal thickness.

Well I finally got to watch the video and I'm very glad I did. I have been doing something bad. When I am not going to cut for a while I shut down the valves on the torch head PLUS the tank valves, which leaves pressure in the lines, valves and most importantly, between the oxy tank and the oxy regulator. Will not do that again!!!!!
