I knew this wasn't safe... now I'm gonna be checking out mills.

How do you accomplish the bronze bushing? Mill the block, then press it in and mill the I.D. for the shaft? Start with a piece of bronze tube?

Ya that's about it. Machine the bushing then press it in then use a reamer to get the size perfect. That was the little mill in the thread. I've since upgraded to the full size model. The bushing is a self lubricating one. But I also added an oil hole as well. It was a fun build. Time for you to go Internet shopping again

I was checking out the drill/mills on Grizzly yesterday, but I think I better pay my taxes before I declare it 'Mill-ertime'..:D

I was looking at these notchers and thought I should be able to use a drill press for this. I needed to notch 1/2 pipe at 45%. I tilted the table to 45% and clamped my vise in place. On the third try I had a good cut. It was more time consuming than a notcher but It worked. the first two tries were not accurate because I use the wrong size whole saw.
