Not happy

Hello all, Well I sold my 2002 DK35 and bought a brand new DK5510. 20 hours on the clock and I have a massive trans fluid leak. This thing leaks a least a gallon a week. Brought it to the dealer and waiting on the report. Its under warranty but this is the time of year I really need it! It looks like it is coming from the top of the transmission tank side. Anybody experience this? I hope its not a major repair on a brand new tractor

Sorry for your troubles, especially on a new tractor. Ask for a loaner so you can get your work done while it is in the shop.

Keep on them and whine and harp a lot about how you need it. (I know you shouldn't have to do this, and I agree, but this is unfortunately the real world...) I know that at my dealer I had a few minor repairs and tell them how I really need it and they get it in right away and work on it while I wait. Or at a minimum like BoylermanCT said, see about a loaner. Good luck!

Hey, at least you aren't getting stuck with the bill. Here is my wisdom on things like boats, snowmobiles and to a degree, tractors. They break when you use them. It sucks and seems sometimes like somebody up there is messing with you but it's true. It's also true that everybody elses machines will be breaking that same time of year and yea the fixers will be busy as bees trying to keep up. There is no way around it though and it's just one of those things you have to live with both now and "back in the day". I'm sure too that back then things were a lot simpler and did a whole lot less so they had less break downs and a lot of it was user fixable.to boot. It's all a sign of the times I guess, what ya gonna do?

Isn't this the same machine that may have has a plugged vent.

There seem to be issues with filler caps and missing/plugged vent holes. Causing pressure to build up in tranny. Severe leaks are reported on tractors with low hours, in the 20 hr range.
