NOBODY CAN HELP??

Surely somebody out there with an older model TL/TS etc can look at their alternator and see how the 2 wires hook up.......is the larger white one at 3 oclock or at 6??? the other one is red and white and smaller and goes at 3 or 6.....PLEASE just take a look and advise me......hmmmmm perhaps everybody is out workin or watchin the war and cant take the time.......thanks ahead of time.....

dennis,i have a ts2200 & from looking at both the tractor & wiring diagram i see a single wire shown as black at the bottom (6 o'clock) & a white molded plug with 3 wires coming out of the case.the single wire comes from the "b" terminal on the starter,hope this helps,revg62

Rev......thanks for the reply......the TL 2300 must be an entirely different animal than the TS 2200 that YOU have.......the parts manual that I got from EFC indicates that that the 19,21,23,25 hundreds are pretty much the same.........BUT THANKS FOR TRYING>>>>>hope to hear from others.....the rewiring is "finished" except for this detail......lolol...is it ever finished....now gotta take off the rear fenders and figure out the signal/brake wiring to hook it and the spaghetti that is the tiller stuff.....lolol....

Sorta stupid question but what is the original problem as I'm assumming you are looking at polarity for the alternator hook up.

Egon.........I rewired the whole tractor and the only thing lacking is how the 2 wires on the alternator go.......which wire goes to which terminal......it is well written I think above.............thanks...........

Did you ever get your alt hooked up. I looked today at my TL 1900 and it has 3 wires. A large white one to the bat post and 2 small ones in a plug located at one oclock. Just curious. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My TS has a white plug on the left side and a black wire going to the "furthest right" B terminal.

Rick and David..........thanks guys.......I just have the two wires that I have talked about.........since finishing the wiring the engine has maybe 6-8 hours on it.....havent burned up anything and the battery is staying charged.....so maybe I got it right......I still would like a confirmation that I did it right.....but who know........one thing that is funny that I discovered today........I went through all kinds of trauma about getting a schematic ......lololol....WEEKS of it......anyway....while gettin my FEL on today I had the hood up.....and lo and behold there is a HUGE schematic on the inside of the hoold.......funny how GOD gives us the gifts HE does when HE chooses.......anyway......thanks guys for the feedback...... ohhhhh by the way.....I ended up putting the larger white wire at 3 oclock and the smaller red and white wire (one wire) at 6 oclock.........thanks again.......Dennis

All my manuals show 4 or 5 wires and a regulator.Did the hood show only 2 wires?I would guess someone put a self regulating alt on it ?

Sam.......thanks for the thought.........I STILL NEED HELP>>>>>>>PLEASE READ THE ABOVE FROM ME..........I took off two wires from the alternator......one was fried and the other was toast........My schematic and every schematic I have seen for the TL 2300/2500 shows 2 wires........the problem is, is that the schematics are in Japanese, dont show wire guage, and I didnt try to figure out the burnt up wiring as I took it off............anyway..... I must have it right cause after about a month now, I still have a charged battery.....so THANKS......for piece of mind....I would like to know if it is right......ohhhhh well......I should just thanks GOD that I have what I have and be happy.
