No Turf Tires?

What tractor takes 15" truck tires in the rear?
R1 vs R4 is like religion or politics...wade in at your own risk!! :ROFLMAO: Not sure what R3s are.
My Deere 855 had 33 - 12.50 x 15 turfs and I went to great lengths to match the circumference since it's 4WD. They're filled (Rim Guard), too.

I ran into the same issue. Wanted R3 tires on my new tractor, dealer said there were no tractors in my area with them, and retrofitting a tractor with R3s would cost a lot of money. I asked about simply ordering a tractor the way I wanted it and they sort of acted like that wasn't an option. So I got stuck with R4s.

In my experience, R3s are superior in every terrain except sloppy mud which a compact tractor rarely ever sees. I have no idea why R3 isn't the standard. These tractors are almost exclusively used on turfs or around homes.
Probably because they can get more for the ag tires.

Just about any tire would work for me. Until I got into snow or mud or need added traction. That's why I run Goodyear 6 ply R-1's. I still have places where my 10,000# Kubota 4WD with loaded rears can get stuck. These areas are avoided until late summer when things dry out.

R1 Radials. That's where it's at.

Miller Tire has been around forever and has a good rep among tractor owners.

Tucker Tire in TN has been around forever and also has a good rep. They only sell on eBay and I think Facebook these days. I've bought replacement wheels and tires from them and would deal with them again.

I wish I had done a bit more research. If so, I'd have likelly landed on the R 14. I have R4s because I punched too many R 3s working on my tree farm with the previous tractor. The R 4 has not given me a problem with punctures, but the do track up the lawn a bit .

I think that, on a tractor, puncture resistance is actually the main tangible benefit of an R4.. every other benefit it could have, is probably not being made use of in most cases.

I have 15s on the back of my tiny tractor 31x13.5x15 and im honestly thinking of adapting 15s onto a bigger (Still small, 2-3000lb) tractor so i can run some ~40-42" mud tires on them. Many silly reasons but one of them is that wheels don't hold free water, but tires do. :ROFLMAO:
