No Rotella T6

Many of the compact diesel tractors use 5W30 and 10W30, So the Shell Rotella T4 is my main staple. So far so good with no issues finding it.
I want it all synthetic...I'm a modern man living in a synthetic world.

I think that what we are seeing is a complete change in our traditional retail system. The future may be one without stores with shelves.... won't that be a change when most retail will be order online and take delivery. I believe what we are seeing now is just the start of this change, but I bet the change is complete far sooner than we expect. It's changing right now.t

Check this out: This Xmas week after no luck locally looking for a matched pair of big group 31 tractor batteries, I ordered them from an online battery warehouse. Ordered them Monday & they arrived this morning. That's 3 days, 150 lbs, 1200 miles, on my doorstep, std. shipping rates... and the lower cost more than covered the shipping.
That's fine when you know what you want and can trust the quality. Plus if you value your time you can save a lot of time spent going to the store.
Some of us grew up in remote areas and have been "remote shopping" from the get-go. I started in the '50's ordering "fishing gear" from the back of Field & Stream (hardcopy RIP) spending all but 10% of my earnings from selling greeting cards.

My Grandson Googled it. Rotella oil is produced by a Netherlands company. Go figure.
I'm 99% sure that they don't even sell the Rotella stuff in Europe, which makes it more ironic.

Do you have combination motor oil / UTF in Portugal? Or in the rest of Europe? I was surprised to see it listed in Britain.

Yes we do. It's called STOU or Super Tractor Oil Universal and it's specifically designed for use in engines, transmissions, rear axles and hydraulic systems of agricultural tractors. It retains the necessary proprieties and additives for the engine and also for the transmission, including wet clutches, wet brakes and so on.

However, from my understanding, STOU doesn't go well with DPFs, so it may be discontinued at one point or another, unless they come up with something that works with DPF as well.

Now I am seeing Rotella T4, T5, and T6 all "out of stock".

Lucked up today and got the last case of (3) 1 gallon 5-40 T6 on Amazon. Just insane now that it is so difficult just to buy supplies to do an oil change in your tractor or truck!

I dont see where there will be that much change. How many times have you gone into I a store only to hear. “Sorry about that, we dont have any. We can order it for you to pick up .” Why does any retail store think that is an acceptable solution? Downsizing inventory and only ordering the “stuff” that sells helped push us here.
I think we just missed the warning signs. Dealerships deleting stock, hardware stores and plumbing supply houses cleaning out the back rooms with almost everything moving to prepackaged quantities. Maybe our “gotta have it now” mentality will have to take a backseat.
Will the amazon and UPS drivers end up being the highest paid blue collar jobs to aspire to?

On line sellers somewhat cut out the middleman (retail stores) and will put most retail stores out of business unless they sell products at minimal profit, or offer services on line sellers can’t offer.
