Some of the larger zero turns are great, just for mowing, however if you have a lot of different chores, landscaping, etc. you might take a look at Power Trac.

i have a kubota b2400 and nine acres althohg i only cut about 3 of them, i have a Befco RFM 60", and if u keep the grass from getting to tall it shoud do a very nice job. if u keep the grass as well groomed as u say u would like then u might even be able to jump to 72". a 29 hp will allow u to go to a bigger mower and e a litlle heavier , sometimes the extra weight is not goo for wet areas, a lot will depend on your land what is best for you

Corriher has the tc24da on their web site for $12,100, is this reasonable. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

yes

You might also want to contact Tarheel Tractor for a price.

Considering all of the increases in everything that probably is about (not necessarily) the best you are gonna do price wise. Maybe someplace local has it for the same price or a little more and you could avoid shipping though.

i imagine that price is just for the base tractor;; no fel, no implements, and not HST? then it might be a tad high, but not sure how the prices have increased . since the cost of steel went up.

Corriher's is listing a TC24DA on Ebay for $11,900. They usually list on Ebay for a little bit less than on their website. I don't know why. That model is with a HST transmission. Figure about $600 shipping?

You can go local and tell your local dealer that there is one listed on Ebay, brand new from a dealer for that price, add a reasonable amount for shipping and ask your local guy if he will meet the price.

By the way, I noticed on the Tarheel Tractor auctions for NH equipment that they are offering 0% Factory Financing for 36 months on new NH equipment.

That's about right.
When I was looking into buying my TC18 from Corriher's, it was going to cost $500 shipping from NC to OH, to the warehouse where I work. When I bought from my local dealer, I didn't have to pay for shipping but I did pay sales tax, which ended up being about $187 more than Corriher's price. It was a tough decision, but I ultimately bought from the local guy.

Bob.... I was wondering if I was the only treated that way at a Green business, I've been to the local dealership about 6 times over the last 1.5 years and have been absolutely ignored and never offered help...I always wound up browsing, writing down what I wanted to know and then calling back fora price... which telephone service was just as bad. I also had a similar experience at a Yeller dealership /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

You can't blame JD for the ignorance of some of their dealers. Personally I'm not buying a green tractor until the local dealership sells to a new owner and then I might give them another try.

But other JD dealers can be great . . . or so I've been told.
