Can I shut the "New" feature off it's annoying

We recently made a change so you are no longer taken to the first new post in a thread when you click on the title. So, if you want to get to the first new post, click on the arrow---not sure if anybody needs that feature but for those who prefer to go to the first new post, they can use it.
Yeah, kind of a hidden feature of the forum---kind of like if you mouse over a subject line, it will show you a preview of the thread text.
Out of curiosity, when you hover over the subject line does the preview popup twice for you?
For me, the preview will popup for a split second and then disappear but reappear like normal after another second. Kinda weird and annoying at the same time. This seems to be the only forum it happens to me on.

I don't like it...it was MUCH easier to click anywhere on the thread title before...

I like the arrows to go to the beginning of the thread. Clicking on the title takes me where I want to go to.
Still, knowing the beginning born-on date would work well for me, but I can get along just fine as it is now. Ridding the page of the red boxes REALLY helped.

I agree with you, especially for multipage threads. If it starts on the first post that I have not read I don't have to dig through the thread trying to find where the first new post is.
