I then haul the ash to an area behind my dam and dump it there. Getting rid of all that ash is a challenge, but finding a good place for it was the biggest part of that. After finding a good place, it's just a matter of spending the time to do it.

Oh no, why aren't you spreading it into your cleared areas prior to planting grass? It's free fertiilizer. Ash contains potassium, calcium and phosphorus. Add some lime and it usually will produce that nice lush green grass people admire.
