JD 3320
I recently took delivery on a new JD 3320, and with the tractor came operator's manuals and a DVD. On this DVD was a safety video as well as videos on operating the new 3x20, and 4x20 series tractors.

In the 3x20 operation video, they show and make mention of a new style iMatch system with a single long handle (instead of the current short double handled design). This handle was long enough to be easily operated from the seat of the tractor (which the video demonstrated).

Anybody hear anything about this? The new iMatch I purchased was of the old two handled design, and my dealer was unaware of a new design.

I am supposed to be getting one next week. I'll let you guys know if they are delivering the new style or old.

Which style did you get? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Old style two handle, and took it back after 3 weeks.

You did see the age of this thread, right? I think the single handle is all that is being delivered now.

I had too many non-JD implements to make the iMatch practical. I could have modified everything, but that would have been weeks worth of cutting and welding that I am not that good at (despite having the equipment). I have everything on wheels now, and the old-fashioned 3pt hook up works fine for me.

Any idea what the part number is or how the dealer can find it?

My dealer has said they have been ordering the "new" style for a year, and only receiving the old 2 handle version. I think that the single handle version looks like it would always be poking you when you went to hook up any PTO's (main reason I kept my old one)

How much does the new iMatch cost?

I have a few new Woods implements (landscape rake, rear blade, box scraper) and I think they will fit right up to the Deere iMatch.

Think you can get the new ones part number from him? Although from what you say it doesn't work, I'd be a step closer since my dealer couldn't find a different number as of yesterday.

As for the poking why not just lean around the other side it appears to be offset.

I think I can help put this thread to bed. As of October when we went to Florida for intro, I asked about the single arm I-match and was told the idea had been shelved. The new I-match was not compatible with the new cab tractors, due to the handle possibly striking the back of the cab(ie glass /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif). It was decided to shelve the idea for now. So, there is no new style Imatch, it never went into production. Hope this helps.

I can't see much advantage to it anyway. I can already reach the iMatch levers from the cab seat on my 3720 Cab model through the rear window. Maybe other model tractors can't?

there's your answer... hint plural

As for it hitting the cab I wonder what percentage of tractors are sold with cabs vs those sold without... and doing something in one motion rather than two has it's advantages.

Oh well it appears they won't be making it anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I wonder if they will change their mind?

I also reach the two arms from my open station 3320.

I was just helping out TOL1488 by searching the board for an answer to his question in this thread. I saw this thread and thought you might have the answer. Sorry.
And thanks for answering the question.

Looks like I didn't answer it right! I thought the changeover was eminent about a year ago when I bought mine. Now it sounds like the idea has been scrapped altogether. Sorry for the misdirection.

Bottom line, check out the Speeco which has an adjustable position for the top link. It is a much more usable system for the same or less money.

Glad you linked that I was planning on doing the same from the other thread as "new style" was not one of the key words I used looking for the "Single-Lever iMatch"
