I just wonder how they can possible know where the asphalt is when blowing out snow

Maybe sensors imbedded in the asphalt?

Little update. All highways in the southern half of the province are closed. Supposed to go at least another couple hrs.

Nothing to say when it comes to New Snow BackRoad. I just sit here and enjoy seeing what's happening else where. They're promising us another big storm for Thursday and Friday. But so far they haven't lived up the their promises - not even close.

Was up at three am, storm had died down a lot. Snow is still in a hurry to get somewhere, ground drifting lots.

Freezing rain changing to snow from tonight till Friday for me.
20cm (8in) over 3 days will just make for some crappy off hours driving like when
I head to work at 5:30am.
I guess the backup winter car (AWD) comes out tomorrow.
