I just recieved my RTV and was wondering how everyone else was breaking thiers in. I am assuming there is some type of break in period.

The owners manual says to not run the RTV at "full speed" for the first 50 hours. A Kubota rep was at the dealership when I picked up my RTV, and he told me to "just drive it". He did tell me to avoid constant speeds or engine RPM's for long periods of time for the first dozen hours or so. For example, don't drive it at wide open throttle for 10 miles down the road. Otherwise, just drive it like normal.

I have 20 hours on mine now.. 50 hours is a long time NOT to go WOT:)

I go wot now:)

You will also notice that the trans will break in nice after 15 hours too. The 'braking' from the hydrostatic trans will ease up and the gear change change will be a lot easier after 15 hours too..
