Several years ago my wife complained about how difficult the 1100 was to shift, so being a wood turner she made a new handle replacement on her lathe.

I welded a nut on a tube as an insert.

The new handle does make grabbing the shifter easier and able to exert more force, but I can't help feeling a little inadequate using it.

I'm using every ounce of self control I can muster so no comment.

Interesting to hear you guys adding back up beepers. I always remove them right away.
Kutbota has a backup beeper option - not a backup lamp. I just use the switch for the backup beeper to power the lamp.

Where is that switch? Is it the one on the passenger side in the rear of the transmission?

The switch gets installed at transmission where the shift linkage is. The switch and hard when is installed relatively easily. The kit I listed previously has the parts. I purchased the switch, wire harness and the hardware from Messicks.

A few years ago I was having trouble driving down some bumpy trails with my back.

Sure, I used the open window for a while but that wasn't comfortable and in the winter I wanted more heat.

I welded up some scrap rectangular tube stock and some round tube stock and made this arm rest. This really helped but I did have to relocate the inside door handle or else it would cut my hand as I closed it. I tried to solve the problem by welding on this big washed but instead of cutting my hand, it would crush it. Finally got tired of that and put the door handle higher.

The top has just some canvas material over closed cell foam.
