Tractor
Mahindra 3015
The deal is done. I am the proud owner of a Mahindra 3015, HST, 4WD, R4 tires, 72" Front Snow Blade, and Woods 60" RMM.

Dealer said it would be delivered to the house on Thursday. I cant's wait.

If there are any newbies that read this, please take the time to research all brands of tractors to suit your needs. I did not even know about Mahindra until I went to a dealer to look at a Massey Ferguson.

The deal was rght and the dealer was even better.

Thank you to everyone that has assisted me in my search over the last few weeks. This forum is great.

Kozmo, you end up going to Turners??

I think you will like your new machine a lot, I like mine and I had a few under my belt before I bought.

I've had it for, what? 3-4 weeks? I have 31 hours on it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif If it would QUIT RAINING for a full weekend, I'll be doing my 50 hour service this next week.

I did end up at Turner's. You were right about Ray. It did not take a whole lot of convincing for me, but Ray was able to make the wife and the MIL feel comfortable. I hope that his service department is as good as was.

I will update from time to time.

While I didn't buy from Turner's ( i didn't buy a Mahindra,or MF ), I did find them to be very"Upfront ", and honest about their products .
When I buy my next implement ,I'll go to them first .
I'd highly recommend them for anyone that is in the market for a Mahindra or MF product in the SW PA area . John

HEY, Kozmo, tell me about your front snow blade. I will be wishing for one this winter, though I'll run out of money before I can actually get one...

So far I'm hoping to go with a Mahindra 2810 HST, with or without snow plow.

Turner didnt load my rear tires on this one. I didnt want calcium or antifreeze. I did my own with WW fluid and a 10 dollar part from TSC.

Cole:

The plow was only $2,250. THat included all of the hydrualic plumbing and blade. I will be using the old box cutter as soon as the rig gets here, ans using the front blade to do some touch up work. I hope that it is everything that i hope it will be.

Varmintmist:

Do you think that I will need to load the tires? My land is flat with the exception of a slight incline. I am not doing and FEL work. You may have the best understanding of terrain and geology of the area.

Thanks guys.

I would guess not. You dont (at the moment /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) have any ground engaging attachments for the rear. The blade will put a lot of weight up front so you may want counterweight in the winter, but a lot of these guys that use theirs primarily as a mower like less weight. I was thinking you got a FEL, then I read back and saw that you didnt.

If you are having traction problems in the winter, then you can add a counterweight, rear finish mower should work fine. If you dont want to use the RFM then a carryall from TSC (right behing snack-n-pack) coast about 75 bucks, you add the wood. A carry all is a pretty handy item to have anyway and you could toss weight on it for traction in the winter.

Try it first, if you are losing traction, it will take a evening to load the tires. No big deal. You can borrow my bucket and nozzle. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Best price on winshield washer fluid is Wal-Mart (the 5th ring of ****) If you had a FEL I would jump up and down and be screaming YES you need to load the tires.
