Bad scene - I've gone to Costco. They put all my stuff in cardboard boxes. Open the tailgate at home - all the boxes are now up against the bulkhead. That's where the long handled hoe comes in handy. Hook & pull.

I have a rubber mat in my pickup, and a sheet of plywood over the plastic bed mat in the company truck. These help prevent things from sliding as much.

Apologies, no clue, but if I spent money on a brand NEW vehicle and spent the coin you probably have spent for a new truck and the dealership told me that, I'd just tell them to give me my money back and I'll buy something else elsewhere.

You spent HOW MUCH money on a truck, they told you when you'd get it and you STILL don't have it delivered to post pics, a full 7 days after they told you you'd have it?

I'd tell them to give you ALL your money back because they hadn't met THEIR OWN AGREEMENT and cancel the dang sale OR knock another 5k off the price for them making you wait. Choice is theirs, and add if they cancel the sale, tell them that you will ensure to hit social media on how much money you spent with them and that they cancelled the sale because they couldn't do what they said they were going to do.

dnw64 - so I go to Amp Research. Looking for the Beststep. The tech refers me to RealTruck.com. They seem to only have the step that mounts on the SIDE of the bed - not the tailgate area. I shall continue the search

I can't find my receipt, and can't remember the brand. But it is very similar to this one (if not the same):

OK - so with Amazons careful check of fitment - "will not fit due to dual exhausts on the 2018 Ram 2500 Power Wagon".

A 2018 Power Wagon doesn't have dual exhaust, does it? Any picture I've seen shows a single right exit exhaust like that on my 2017 6.4L Hemi 2500.

As I believe has already been discovered, the PW has single exhaust.

But, for those with dual exhaust looking (1500s only, as far as I can tell) for a rear/corner step, the one I have is on my dual exhaust truck, and the website I just listed shows you which options are applicable.

I have the factory spray-in bedliner. It's a good compromise between sticky and slippery. Things do still sometimes end up in the front (that's where the wheel-to-wheel side steps come in handy) and you still can slide stuff without toooo much trouble when you want to.

My Ranger also has the spray in liner. I bought it used 3 years ago and both came with it. I really like the combination as the bedliner has kept the sheet metal looking good for 15 years, while the mat keeps things from sliding around.

Really like the cargo mats... have them in the pickup and van... also quiet things down.

It's not in their control, they did make an unrealistic promise though.

When the new Super Duty was delayed... the sales person threw in a Factory Bed Mat I was thinking of buying... thought it was a nice gesture...

Only the deposit was paid with the rest cash on delivery.

All depends on the contract... the Super Duty gave a production estimate... it was off by 3 weeks... with transit time being over half the delay... seems the carrier had a lot of stops along the way.

I don't blame the dealer. They have NO control over when the vehicle will arrive. Apparently they don't have much of a tracking system either.

It will be here when it gets here.

Getting angry, demanding money refunded, making idle threats. Won't make the vehicle appear sooner, won't make me happy.

Besides I've waited four months to receive an ordered vehicle. Two weeks is peanuts.

However - beat your fists on your chest, run in large circles, beller in you loudest voice, demand money refunded. Does THAT make you feel good. Will your vehicle appear sooner. GREAT I wait patiently.

I have a Rhino, after market, spray in bed liner in my F-150. I stand on it - its absolutely non-slip. Put a cardboard box loaded with groceries on it - experience shows. Its on its way to the bulkhead. That's OK - I grab & drag with my long handled hoe.

The Power Wagon comes with a spray in bed liner. Somebody told me they use the Line-X product. Rhino/Line-X , all the same to me.

You know - it must be in my nature to be calm/patient. I directed a very volatile program for the government, in a very volatile location and at a most volatile time. Those first years after Alaska decided to become a state. I would surely still be in grey bar city if I didn't have patience and restraint. Again, it was a situation where the will of city folks overrode the hopes and desires of those in the bush. Remain a territory or become a state - Alaska was set on the road to change.

Early to mid 60's - Alaska - there was situation known as - - 12 gauge resolution. Usually quite final, usually somebody paid for it the remainder of their life.

The factory bedliner in the Rams is really good. Looks identical to the Line-X I had applied to my 2010. I like the texture. It's grippy without being a pain in the butt to clean/sweep.

Amp Research makes a step for Ram 1500s with dual exhaust. Not for the 2500 because no 2500 I've ever seen has a factory dual exhaust.

Exactly. I custom ordered my 2016 F150. Ford has a pretty good tracking system for orders; three weeks after I placed the order with the dealer the system showed the truck as built and en route. It was six more weeks before it arrived at the dealership - the tracker showed the truck made a pretty thorough tour of the whole country before it got to me!

Well - I've got all these ideas of "add-ons" to the PW. Tonneau, rear step, etc. However, the Ram Power Wagon is a rather odd duck to many companies. They can give a spot on answer for a Heavy Duty Ram 2500 fitment - they tend to quiver a bit when faced with the Power Wagon.

So......my list continues to build - my purchases, however, will wait until the PW is in hand.

I'm sure enjoying Apple Play - nothing quite as pleasing as "the Oakes" in the background. Seems to make these old fingers a bit more nimble also. They tend to dance on the keys. The only sound for miles here in the absolute black void of an early morning. Even my coyote friends are still bedded down.

For a bed cover, I had one years ago that rolled up like a window shade. There was a box that you mounted at the front top of the bed that it rolled in to. I think they even make them in an electric model. The only down side is the can ice up an freeze but that was never a problem for me.

If I were to spend 50k on a vehicle which the dealership did not have in stock, and they gave me a time frame on when that vehicle would be in, yes, I would hold them to that time frame. If that time frame came and went with no product to recieve, they better know where it's at and if they don't, I'd have no qualms asking for my money back in full. If anything, they (this auto dealership) really do have their heads up their butts when they overpromise and under deliver on something that expensive.

I also learned a long time ago that generally the guys who buy the most don't complain the loudest and make idle threats.

Apologies, I'm not trying to detract from the thread, just never had to wait for a vehicle that I wanted to buy. Ultimtatley it's what the buyer is willing to tolerate vs what they want and their expectations on recieving the product.

Your points are valid Sigarms. Its just after having to deal with the public for 18 years, I've found its best to remain calm. For 18+ years in the Environmental Health field and mostly the enforcement end - it was better to let the public get agitated.

When I would meet with the CEO of a company we were entering into legal action against - I had a comment that alway shut them up. They would shout - "I'm going to get our attorney involved in this." My response - "Yes, this course of action is well advised on your part. Just remember I have an entire legal department backing my action AND they are paid with your tax money also."

Yes, two days ago - I wrote a check for $58K and change. The truck will get here - I will be happy & surprised. You want to talk about trust - I SAW a Power Wagon last year. I've never driven one, never seen the 2018 PW in the flesh. As I explained to the salesman - "as I hand you this check - be advised, I'm 76 - there will be nowhere on the face of this planet you could hide, that I couldn't find you. Now do your job." Death is a mere joke compared to my attitude.

God, yes - - there will be gobs of pics. I've got to schedule an appointment with the local plastic surgeon. The objective - remove the permanent smile.

Mine rolls up, but it doesn't retract. It's integrated with my InvisiRack collapsable "ladder rack". I love both.
