Hello Folks,
Nice to see the dedicated Deere owners.
I just purchased the 4310 today after looking for several months, e-pwr revers, 4x4, 300 loader. Out the door for $17,800, this seems to be a fairly good price from what I've seen on here.
I'm wondering if I need to be ready for any unforseen problems or tricks with the e-pwr reverse trans?
I've only had the straight manual trans in my old Ford.

As long as it's serviced "by the book" and allowed to warm up on cold days I would expect no problems whatsoever. What you've got is a manual transmision with a hydraulic clutch where the clutch is actuated buy a couple of proportional valves. Reading through the service manual, it's a sweet setup. Becuase it's "electronic" it's setup to protect itself, if necessary, from the driver.

I find it easier to remember by associating it with the simple rule for putting in sod.

Always keep the green side up.

The only problem I have had is when I go to back up in my truck I turn the left blinker on.

When I am lifting something heavy up high with loader, I prefer the 12f/12r over ehydro because it is more steady and predictable for balancing tractor in risky positions. The foot throttle rocks when driving into a pile of dirt or gravel. I have the 4300 with430 12f/12r and 4200 420 with ehydro.

Congrats, I have the same trans and love it, although I don't like the gear spacing for finish mowing. I occasionally get too frisky flipping the reverser lever directly from forward to reverse even though there is a strong neutral detent. You might want to keep the clutch engagement speed switch in the slow position until you're really used to it. Otherwise, it is a great setup. Have fun...

It's nice to feel welcomed into a new site, that's a change for a newbie.
I hope to have some good feedback myself after tomorrow.
