Well KK inc. is not a member of TBN, where the real knowledge is:thumbsup:

I noticed they don't have it on their website. They also don't have their 7' tiller on there either (or at least not that I could find).

Reverse rotation tillers are good for breaking (1st time) untilled lawn/grass areas. By the nature for the reverse rotation, dirt rocks and dirt clump are "pushed ahead" by the tiller. If you goal is the finely processed soil garden or lawn areas, Stick with the forward rotating tiller. The guy next to me has a reverse tiller and hates it! He did ask me to till his garden with my 48" forward KK tiller after two years fighting with his tiller. I hope this helps.

Interesting. Everything I have read is to the contrary. You sure it wasn't your buddies tiller? I just purchased a landpride reverse tiller and was amazed by the results on first use. Left a very fine seed bed on a single pass.

I know with my out of date melletti 48" tiller, four tines per flange, forward spin has always left a good to excellent finish. Speed and gate position has more to due with quality of the finish I believe, than a market ploy of overcharging for a reverse rotation tiller. I could really use a wider swath than just 48"

Not knocking the tillers, knocking the manufacturing marvel of overcharging for changing the position of the drive pinion to spin things the other direction....

AND in the case of the landpride, the addition of 'sifting' rods to catch the bigger things first to make sure they are buried under the fines that make it threw..... How bout' one of them on a forward rotation tiller???

A power rake works in reverse with excellent results, I would really like to know where the manufacture shoves 8 times more expense into the thing, compared to a like size tiller, wich a power rake is basically a naked tiller.... Same with the reverse tillers. Seems to be minimal features for astronomical prices, but not so much with the KK tiller it looks like.

ANYHOW, thanks for the responses, all info is good.

I would like to thank all the TBN viewer that have visited my site and looking at our items. The King Kutter 5Ft and 6Ft. reverse tillers are new for this year. They are only available in a 5Ft. or 6Ft. size.

I will be picking some up this week at King Kutter and I hope to have more pictures of the unit up for viewing soon.

The reverse unit is designed a lot like the standard units except a sheld was added to the front for helping to keep the soil in the tilling chamber.

Thanks,

Bruce McGee

The Reverse Drive tiller is a lot like the standard series tillers, however, the
reverse drive series has the removable tine blade shaft.

Bruce, I just wanted to say that you have good prices on the KK 60 incher tiller. Hopefully more TBN'ers will see this or your page and steer their business to you.

Good luck and I hope your business does well.

I wish I saw your site earlier and lived closer before I bought a more expensive Landpride 66 inch tiller locally

Thanks for the pics Bruce. I like that KK chose the bolt on torque tube/tine shaft, that should be standard on all of them:D

Sold any of these reverse rotation KK tillers yet?

I appreciate the good comments guys. I hope that more TBN veiwers will take notice of my site and just keep me in mind when they need something. A lot of folks are going to miss out on some really nice prices going on right now.

Some of my King Kutter prices are going to have to start getting adjusted this weekend because KK mailed out new dealer prices that are to start 05-16-2011.

Some of the tiller units will get to stay the same. The reverse tillers will get
to stay the same, 5Ft. and 6Ft. will get to stay same, but the 7Ft. will take
a good hit.

My local viewers are going to wear out my trucks going back and forward to KK for more tillers. I've been given walk ends the same internet prices with
just a small assembly charge.

Again, I want to thank all the TBN folks and all my viewers that are given my
company a chance.

Thanks,

Bruce McGee

The Tartar website lists the tiller as "easily switches between forward and reverse rotation".

Rotary Tiller - Tarter Farm & Ranch

I cannot find any further information on this feature but that would give us the best of both worlds. I assume this should be similar or identical to the new reverse rotation KK.

Anyone have any further information on this?
