Recently bought a very old and well worn New Idea 12A manure spreader, its ground driven. The chain that operated the spreading fins & teeth on the roller has broken. Our local Tractor Supply does not have the chain. And our local tractor dealerships don't have anything that old. I've tried contacting new idea and apparently AgCO owns them? And has referred us to a dealer that shows no interest in helping.
Anyone have an idea of what size chain is on this model?
Any good online places to order chain? We bought a chain from tractor supply that the "guru" told us was the one that would work. When we got home I cut it to size and installed only to find out that its to small of a gap between the rollers. Can't take it back now since I had made the mistake of not measuring first :thumbdown: That was my $90 screwup.
