Nice rig! I'm about to buy similar, but without the cab.
Explain to me some about the Meteor 75" Pull Type Blower? What does
Pull type signify? I know there are front mounted blowers, and rear mounted
blower that you back up to snoblow, is a Pull type blower different?

A pull-type blower is mounted on the back but unlike most rear-mounted blowers, you drive forward to blow snow. The advantage is that you don't get a kink in your neck or back, it is less tiring for longer driveways or roads. For those without a cab there is also the advantage of less snow being blown on to you because you are pulling away from the blown snow, not into it. The disadvatages include higher purchase price and losing the ability to back up into a snowbank to clear it as can be done with a regular rear-mount. For short driveways and parking lots, the regular blowers, either front or rear-mount are usually better. A front-mount is really good but it is expensive and you lose the advantage of having the loader during the winter. That is a non-starter for me. Thanks for you explaination, this type of snoblower may need to be added
to my implement list. I have a 600 foot driveway. I don't want to remove my
FEL since it will be for moving the sno banks/piles, and I did not want to back up 600 feet


Are there any rear hydraulics needed for this snow blower?

Well, you don't necessarily need hydraulics but I have chosen to do so - one circuit for spout rotation, another for raising or lowering the deflector to send snow high or low. Some of these functions can be peformed manually if you don't have a cab by reaching back and adjusting a lever or electrically. If you plan on having rear hydraulics for other things such as top and tilt, then hydraulic control is a good option. If your 600' driveway can be blown for its entire length with one setting, you could consider avoiding the expense of the hydraulic actuators.

My L5030HSTC was been worked hard. I mean...hard. So, I've grown to really respect it, and as a result, have gotten attached to it. But man, I really wish I had that right hand lever console like the new 40 series. The 3-point and remote levers would be so much handier than reaching way down on the side of the seat, especially when turned around and looking backwards, trying to finely grade with a blade or box blade.

I bit the bullet, after over two months of deliberation, and ordered a
L3240 yesterday. I didn't get has good a deal as others on this forum, but since I'm a newt I will need tech support from my local dealer up the road, and they are very customer friendly. I'll post pictures once the L3240 arrives.
