Lifan is a large company specializing in manufacture of motors. They are one of the largest producers of mororcycle engines in the world. I have a 2005 150cc bike with their engine. It is fantastic. never caused me a problem.
Home Depot has them, so you always have the backing of Home Depot if you bought it there. Otherwise it's made on China like most of the generators today.
