Diamondpilot,
I agree for the few more $, it's worth getting a 3500 SRW. However, I've been looking at them and noticed, GM lists the GVW for the 2500 as 9200# and the 3500 as 9900#. The DRW 3500 is 11,400#. Where are you getting the 1100# more figure from. I was hoping for a little more out of the 3500SRW that 700 payload. Payload was an issue for me recently when I wanted to pick up a pallet of belgium blocks. My Chevy HD was rated for 8900#, which gave me a payload of about 3000#. That was pushing it for me.
The DRW2500 is an impressive beast, but I can't convince the boss at home.
Farmboy is scaring me. How does a kid like you know about accidents with a DRW because of the rear width. That's the kinda secret we take to the grave.
There's a 3500SLT GMC on the local lot. Sticker is $54K,can get it for $40k. I wish GM would allow me to cash in all my GM card points. That would just be enough of a discount to make it a deal I can't refuse.
