Neutral Light Indicator

When I turn the key on the neutral light is displayed on the instrument panel along with all the other items then goes out. After starting the tractor and putting the shift lever in neutral the instrument panel does not the display the N indicating the transmission is in neutral. How come?

The same instrument panel is probably used in several models and levels of tractor for the manufacturer. Not all models have the functions available that the panel will indicate. It is an economy vs deluxe situation where some people are willing to pay more for all the features.

This is the SE "deluxe" so I wonder if this feature should work???

It will not work on a CK model. Same dash is used in multiple units.
