This is one of my neighbors. The house is for sale, 265 acres up at about 2,125 ft. The wind blows so hard up there in the winter, you can see where it blew the stucco off the concrete /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Might take a few cord of wood to keep this place warm /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

ps One more thing, driveway is a little steep, when I was walking up it in spots when your standing straight you can just about reach the drive in front of you. Anybody got a snowcat?

I don't envy them the flat roof! My house has a flat roof, about 2500 sq. ft., and it is an endless headache in this climate. Well, I haven't had to clear it off THIS winter... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I wonder how they wash those tower windows; doesn't look like they're the kind that flip in...

Tom.

All you need is a runway! Cool place.

Mornin Ron,
The price would be a very modest $899,900 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

ps Of course you would still need to buy the snowcat for getting home on those winter evenings /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm retired. Don't need to go out when weather is bad. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I may have to keep my b2910 though. Would not be able to afford a Snocat after the house purchase. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Mornin Redrocker,
Actually no runway needed, you just get a running start and go off the cliff with your glider, of course you do need some updraft /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mornin Scesnick,
Yeah the wind is brutal up there for sure. I think even more so because to the west is pretty much rolling open meadow in north eastern ny. The views are spectacular, like take your breath away, but when the temp is -30f and the winds are blowing 100mph, it could take the heart out of even the staunchest mountain man /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

ps I see you run a KTM and ride GNCC. I used to ride some local enduros, lots of fun, had a XR-250 worked over, liked that low end grunt /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The bones wont take it any more /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi Mark,
Im not sure the MF 1040 would make it up that drive in FWD /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If that place were the firestation, all the houses on fire would be toast by the time we got there /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Oh, and one other thing, we would never get the truck back to the station again /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi J,
The house is still owned by the original owner. A Mr Vanderman, he also owns Telescope Furniture Co in Granville,Ny. I think they took it off the market for awhile, dropped the price and are trying it again.

I bought some of this stuff last year at a garden furniture store. Nice, but pricey...I can't imagine what it cost before! But, I wanted to support a local manufacturer.

C'mon, your never too old to ride/race. They have a class for everyone in the GNCC. They have a Super Senior class 50+ yrs. old.
And DO NOT be fooled by the age some of those crusty old guys can still put the hammer down !!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
