Getting close to pulling the trigger on the Hoye tire/wheel kit. Didn't want to stress my old skinnies too bad so I have been waiting, but I really need some weights for the front. What're my cheap options to take care of this?

Thanks!

Home Depot sells Deere suitcase weights but they have gone up considerably in price in the last few years. The most reasonably priced in my area seem to be on Craigslist. Cheapest option may be to hit up some welding, machine or fabrication shops and see if you can buy some heavy drop cuts to make your own weights.

I know it man, I mean almost $100/weight is insane. Not paying that, may try to find some RR tie or call some shops like you mentioned.

I have an extra 100 lb dumbbell I may just ratchet strap on there for now.

Watch Craigslist for 'tractor weight'. Anything that looks like a suitcase weight can be hung from a purpose-built bracket to adapt it to Yanmar dimensions.

Run some chain with the right bracket hooks through a bucket or two of cement and let it set - then hang that on the front/back of your tractor?
