I know a guy that found a set and placed them over the edge of an embankment (that he dug out). Access from the lower side of the embankment gave him access to under a vehicle, where the vehicle drives onto the ramps from the top side. That was his answer to a lift.

That is exactly what the old timer I bought mine from used them for. Set some railroad ties in a ditch to support one end and the other end on the ground. Gave him a place to get under a vehicle and change oil.

I done the same thing. I can drive fourwheelers, tractors, and even my truck over it. Costed me about 150bux.

Currently working on a bridge with pine logs. I have 2 trees used as stringers about 30 inches in diameter and about 30 feet long. I had to increase my height from the water since my initial trial was iced over this past winter (good thing it wasnt finished). Im going to use 1 set of 2x10/12 to tie the stringers together and then run 4 2x12 length wise across the bridge.
One side sites on rocks, the other is just on the bank. I figure by the time the pine craps out, Ill replace it with steel.
