Need more hot water

I use a boiler-mate.
I believe it works like this.
It is a hot water tank that stores the water the boiler heats. It does not lose tempature as fast as a hot water heater because it does not have a flue.
If you do not use any hot water, the water in the tank only loses something like 4 degrees in a 8 hour period.(I'm not sure if these #'s are correct)
The water in tank is separate from heating system water.
The tempature of your water should be adjustible at the boiler.

Some say this is better for your boiler because it allows it to run all year. Down time in the summer sometimes causes problems with boilers.
Good Luck and stay warm in the shower.

Hi Ejb therrin is correct with the info given the boiler shuts down in summer until the boiler mate comes on it works like a heating zone off the boiler it's a cold start control boiler same set up i installed about 2 years ago works great in , in the winter i give my horses hot water they love it no colic problems
