Need JD 850 Shift Pattern

I just bought a JD 850 tractor and the shift pattern decal is illegible. Please send me an accurate description e.g. left-middle-right/up-down, or a picture of the gear pattern. I don't yet have an operator's manual. This is my first post.

You are welcome, and it came from jdparts.com.
All JD models, from spreaders to whatever they made, can be found in jdparts.
It is free registration, and is same as used by the Deere dealers to find part numbers. Registering will connect you with a dealer, but that isn't harmful and doesn't get in the way of looking up a Deere model.
I've found that dropping the alpha characters and just using numbers will get a list of all the models that contain that set of numbers. Like for an X485 just enter 485. As well, entering 850 will give a list that might include a side delivery rake, the 8500 disk tiller, and the 850 manure spreader. Going to the 850 compact tractor will give you a list of attachments, alphabetic index, pictorial index, and sectional index for sorting through. Truly an amazing resource for parts and knowledge of what is inside our tractors.

If you are of the mind to do some of your own mechanic work, then getting the CD or paper bound tech manual for a $100 (give or take depending on source) that covers the 850 is an good value.

The JD 850 is a great tractor! I have owned two different JD 750's (it's smaller brother) and really enjoyed them both and got great service out of them. In case you don't have any basic info on yours, I am copying the URL to the tractordata website for it. This will give some of the spec's for it.

If you don't know the year model of yours, you should be able to figure it out by using your serial number and their list of serial numbers by year.
