Need help with 1967 Ford 3000

How do you replace the filter in the power steering pump? There is a spring inside that is making it difficult to reattach.

I remember it being a little tricky to replace the reservoir cover as well due to the spring when I changed the filter and fluid on my 4100. If i recall it took me and another person, one to hold the reservoir cover and the other was applying pressure on the bolt and turning it simultaneously with a battery impact. Be careful that you don't strip the threads if you use a battery or pneumatic gun.

I don't have help and I do not have a battery impact just Old fashion wrenches .

It was impossible for me to get everything lined up, so I removed the power steering pump and reassembled it off of the tractor. Only two bolts hold the pump on from the front. Don't forget the pump to engine o-ring if you go this route. This is only for the pump with integral reservoir, which maybe didn't start until '68.
