I have two ford 3400s one works fine. The other is a diesel with a serious hydrolic problem. Every time the bucket is pulled all the way in on the front end loader, a seal on the pump blows and the pump quits working. Getting ready to buy a rebuilt pump, but worried what could be causing the problem. Any help would be great.

A failed or improperly set system relief valve is a likely cause. located in the loader control valve or pump itself, depending on configuration.

If you are using QD's make sure the return path is open to tank with very little back pressure.

Reset all the QD's on the loader, and inspect the relief valve, clean, or repair/replace.

You will need a hyd gage.
