Double check the draught control knob position. I had a similar problem on a JD, and the problem was to do with the draught control. This was a long time ago so I don't recall details.

One thing no one has said anything about is the feed back control. Some have a spring on the shaft and the control to the rock shaft can move, but if rusted or real dry can chitter on the rod. That well make the 3pt jump up and down as you go up, just grease or oil it. Like redman said if you have draft control.

Crank up the RPMs, does it smooth out? Also found the setting the drop rate adjustment to just barely open helps. It's PITA slow when you lower the 3 point, but does mitigate the bouncing.

Like someone else mentioned.... does this tractor have draft control?

Everyone, thanks for you suggestions. I found the culprit. It was this little spring (circled in red) that pushes against the steel ball inside the flow control valve. It looks like someone took it apart in the past and when they put it back together they must have crushed the spring with the valve body (#6 below) because it was all deformed/mangled. Works fine now.

My Ford 1910 bounces when I lift an implement on the 3-pt hitch and the front loader operates a little slow. I just replaced the hydraulic oil filter and I just replaced the U seal on the hydraulic piston, which was in bad shape. The hydraulic oil level is overfilled, but I don't see any evidence that this could cause the problem. The service manual is NO HELP at all in troubleshooting this. Anybody know what the problem could be? I'm stumped because I really thought that replacing the bad seal would fix it.
Mine did that with a brush hog on te back and it was the seal on the hydraulic piston under the seat for the 3 pt
