Need Help determining what I need

I think there's no one right answer. Lots of good options listed here. I think I would go for a 60hp John Deere/Kubota/Kioti with a cab and a used skid steer. I would find someone who would do haying on shares.

Extremely weather dependent (and often fails at that)
Costly equipment
Lots of equipment upkeep
Takes more time and less fun than you think

That said, you are going to love the new property and playing , er working.

Suggest maybe determining long terms goals before going forward with anything. If you are going to live there, would think collecting funds for a house would be more important than barns, tractors etc. Although machinery might be needed in order to make room for a home. Maybe something cheap to get started.

Although on much less property just went through this with building a house. Glad I didnt sink tons of money into the above before getting firm on house stuff.
