Need a spare JD/Yanmar engine?

Need a spare JD/Yanmar engine? In my search for a diesel engine for a generator set-up, I ran across some Yanmar engines. In trying to find out more about the engine types, I discovered these engines might be for John Deere tractors. Anyway, for what it's worth, here is the information.

Surplus Center has listed two types Yanmar engines for sale. A web search says a 3TNA72 engine might fit a JD 455-- TBN article.. A 3TNE74 engine might fit a JD 4110-- South Africa JD thinks so anyway.

Not sure on applicability, but if you need a Yanmar engine this may be worth a look.
