Like Ken, my property lies in the fayetteville shale play.
We have four wells on our property, with proably a dozen
more in the surronding area.
We have not experienced any problems, nor am I aware of anyone
that has.
Almost everything is negotiable in your lease. If your concerened
about water quality. Have your water tested before and after
drilling. If you want the trees cleaned up from a pipline ROW, put
it in the contract (compensation will be smaller). If you dont want
a drilling pad, put in a no surface clause.
There are several natural gas/mineral owners forums on the
internet. I encourage you to visit them, and share the knowledge.
