Mystery mount??

I bought this old Ford 4500 tractor a few years ago, and always wondered what these heavy duty mounts were for on the side of the front loader.
Anybody know??? I sure dont. Im gonna cut the off if there's no useful purpose to them.
I hope I can get the pictures on here.

Those look to be added on after the factory judging by the weldments. Image search seems to indicate that they could be front mounts for a full glass cab enclosure.
Are they in the way, where you're constantly barking a shin on them? If not, I'd tend to leave them as they might be handy later on.

The front of that tractor reminds of of the Clampit Rig! What are those?

I searched and searched on Google images for a clue.
I thought maybe a boom mower??? But all the images I saw of tractors with telescoping mowers, did not have a front loader mounted on the tractor.
And yes I do bump something into those mounts once in a while. That's why I thought about removing them.
I would like to put some kind of roll over protection some day, but Im not sure I want to attach something to those mounts. I think raising the loader might interfere if I attached something from them.
