It's still a major complaint. I have to watch what I'm doing our I'll mess around and get stuck. I have the R4 tires. I cannot use a ballast box because I've always got some other kind of implement attached. I have to use 4wd nonstop.

The LS with the bucket shows that it's just as heavy as my previous JD 750. The 750 had ag tires, but I can't believe there is that much difference just in the tires. I never had the JD stuck one single time and I only used the 4wd when I was grading my uphill driveway. In 13 hours with the LS, I've been stuck 3 times and have to keep the 4wd on nonstop.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense with R4's...not at all. Have you tried the differential lock? Most should be engaged when the tractor is stopped. What's your tire pressure set at? Over inflated tires can cause traction problems.

Not to rain on your parade, but I'm so glad I'm continuing to research my next tractor. I've read so many things about the R4 tires now, that I know I will not purchase a tractor with them installed.

All that wet clay I have to deal with would definitely be a disaster and disappointment to me. I do agree, you need to fill your tires and hope that gives you more traction.

Hard to believe that 23 HP and no ballast in your tires would give you that much of a problem, but here's a real life example.

I'm watching and learning all the time.

I do wish you the best with your tractor. That is one good looking, hard working tractor.

I have to use the diff lock a lot also. I haven't checked the tire pressure. I assumed the dealer did that when the tractor came in. But I'll check it tonight.

There really is that much difference between R1s and R4s. I have two tractors of similar size and the one with R4s weighs over 2,000lbs more, and has 4WD.....it gets stuck in stuff the other one with R1s just cruises right through.
