as with any ford genny of that vintage, it has a big stud on the back as the armature, and then 2 small studs on the barrel that are field and ground. ground is common to the case, field has an insulation grommet isolating it from the case. If you measure from both of them to the case, one will be 0 ohms, one will be very low ohms ( field coil ).
