My Industrial Cabin Build

When I built my house I rented a telehandler for the early stage work. The framers and roofers used it and then I used it for installing windows with the work platform it came with. It had selectable 3 steering modes. 1. Basic front wheels steer only 2. All wheel steering where the back wheels turned opposite of the front ones for tighter tuns and the real gem #3. Crab steering. You had to have wheels straight ahead to change modes, but you could get right up next to a wall if you wanted to, pop it into crab steering and both front and rear wheels would turn the same way so you could get away from a wall that was only a few inches next to you. That was a lifesaver in a few situations. Being that it was all hydraulic control/drive/steer, it was fairly easy to implement vs anything mechanical.

Just thought it was interesting...
My Builders have one. They used it to hang my trusses as well as many other jobs. They could move the end of the jib an inch if needed simply by turning the steering wheel sitting still. I was impressed.

That fence is awesome. I wish I had a tele-handler. We were using the tractor platform again this weekend. It works but getting close to the house is not easy.

I also dropped a video this morning. Finally got the last piece of siding that will use the fulcrum lift I built.
Everything now is up off the ground.

Are the sheets of Hardie the finished look? or will you be covering the seems with trim?

What is the z channel made of? Didn’t look like metal.

It isn’t really a z. It is 1.5x1.5 inch aluminum step flashing with baked on white finish. I am going around and using a piece of 2x4 as a brake and folding it down over the trim a little more

Board and batten. A batten Every 16 inches on the lower section and 12 inches on the upper section.
