Here are links to scissors hoists for trailers or truck beds, a little pricey if you ask me, especially if you can design a bed and cylinder on your own and get it to lift without tearing up the cylinder mounts or the trailer bed. Why bother installing a 1000 + dollar hoist? I don't get it.






In my case at least, I would not think of buying a hoist, but making my own smaller version. I don't know why I have my cylinder mounted so it pushes back, never considered turning it around till I saw your video. It looks like your way works well, and pushes up, closer to the front of the trailer. Are you happy with the way your cylinders are mounted?

Here are pics of my trailer with a high swing tailgate. You should not have any trouble with your set up,it is similar to mine & i have had mine filled with hand picked field rocks to where no more rocks would stay on,never had any trouble dumping it.

wushaw, thanks for the link to your build. I just read the whole thing. Good job! I made some more progress on my trailer today, got the axle mounted, hitch is on, and started doing the final welding. I did take pics, but I will have to wait for the weekend when my son comes home to post more pics. He showed me how, but nothing to do with computers works when I try, Greg
