Kirk,

Very nice pictures, looks like your boy is very comfortable on the tractor already. What is that lever by the FEL joystick for? I took delivery of my BX23 on 11_18_04, so far I'm very happy with it. Hope to push some snow with it this winter.

Regards,

Luis Leon

I believe that is the loader valve lock you are refering to. it will lock the valve in whatever position the FEL is in. But with mine, the loader will still "settle" while in the lock position

I think that lever is supposed to be used when transporting the tractor.

Saw your link. Looks like the house came out very nice. Love the 23 and wish I had one. But boy that's way too clean a tractor. You need to drive through a mud puddle right away. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I haven't taken any pictures of it recently, but it's sort of a brown color now. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

KirkMcD,

Enjoyed the photos.

Don't know about you, but when I see my backhoe stretched out and down deep in a ditch, it sort of turns me on...more than when attacking stumps, anyway... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Guess that's probably because before my backhoe ownership days I spent a good number of hours on the homestead in hand-dug ditches, throwing the dirt out myself. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

SCB,

I know about the FEL lockout lever. There is some other bar in one of the frontal pictures of the boy and tractor, just slightly to the right of the lockout lever. Thats what I was referring to.

I put in 4 hours seat time this afternoon, it felt great I am finally going to tame that back acreage, or have fun trying.

Regards,

Luis Leon

This Picture?
The bar on the left of the joystick?
What is that?

This is just a guess as I don't own a BX23 but it looks like the bar that supports the snowthrower shoot adjustment rod? Again just a guess.....

I thought that was for the snowblower, I don't have a snowblower on mine or that peice that looks like it would be for the chute control either

I see two levers....... one on the control that I believe is the control lock and the other is the chute rotation handle bracket that is sticking out from the loader valve. If you go to his web site, you will see some larger pictures of the tractor and some of the work that he has done with it. The only thing that perplexes me is how he can keep the bucket so nicely painted and use it also. Mine has more scratches in the paint that there are grains of sand. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Paint on my bucket is the exception and scrapes are the rule. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

You have to wipe it down between loads and have a direct line to the Kubota Paint department. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It has about 88 hours on it now and does look well used. I need to get some more recent pictures of it.
