I had a soil sample done last year it said i needed 3 tons of lime per acre. I didn't do anything. Had one done this year and only need one ton.

Next year you'll be adding vinegar and coffee grounds at that rate

Mine isn't doing as well after yesterday evening:

Hail was mostly pea to marble sized, but some 1" or so! High winds & at least 1-3/4" of rain (hail broke the gauge). Plenty of limbs to pick up today, fortunately, no roof damage. Did have a "scam" roofer came to the door already, definitely not from around here! Could have been worse & was 10 years ago in June, that one did lots of damage all over town! ~~ Lowell

Gardens in Ohio are either soggy or submerged since it's been raining cats and dogs for a number of days. All that water on top of clay soil builds a natural pond.

On the plus side my grass is green and thick.

My Tators & onions didn't fare too well through the hail storm:

They'll come out of it, but will be set back some. Right now, the tators are covered with sawdust, 34* predicted tonight!

BTW, the insurance adjuster was here today; house, two storm windows, gutters, roof, some siding & trim & front porch post damage. Shop gets a new roof, shed; new roof & one window. New landscape lights, some flower pots & even a new silver tarp roof for the dog pen (which was worn out anyway)! Roofs were all new after the last hail storm 10 years ago. ~~ Lowell

Sorry for the late update y'all. I've been very busy lately. Pretty much put the garden on the back burner up until a few days ago.
The last 2 weeks has been hectic. After 8 long months, we lost my aunt last week to pancreatic cancer.
Here are a few pictures I took this evening. I cultivated with the tractor a few days ago, along with fertilizing the corn and bringing dirt up to the stalks (lay by) with the row discs.
I also bought a new sprinkler. It does a good job but doesn't cover the whole garden. I am pleased with it.
What I'm not pleased with is this year's Spring garden. It's pitiful. The most sorriest lookin garden I've ever grown. Especially since I had to re-plant and with the time I have in it. We haven't gotten any rain but 1 time and it was almost a flood. Rained 3 drops to a gallon. Haven't got any since. That's the reason for the sprinkler.
Although it's a hobby, it's taken a lot of time to do. The potato crop still looks like it'll be the best.

sorry to hear about your Aunt. I lost a young friend to pancreatic cancer a few years back, took him in 6 months.

I have been really frustrated this year as I have had to replant nearly all of my crops from the soil temp being too cold. Lesson learned for sure. I have been trying to figure out a good date to put out my tomatoes, but it's been cool here and we are nearly in june. The only thing that is thriving are the weeds. Your garden looks great compared to mine. I will post some pics if my replants grow.

Got 6 rows (totals about 900 feet) of corn ( 3 Silver Queen and 3 Butter & Sugar) and 24 tomato plants (Champion II). 68% chance of rain tomorrow. I pray it comes. Next is cucumbers and zucchini. Pics to follow when the corn is up.

We had such crappy weather with the cold and rain, etc that some of my sweet corn was just too spotty to make it so I sprayed it dead and replanted. We normally plant in three successive plantings so we have fresh corn over a six week stretch. But not this year. My first batch was fine and it will be ready in mid July but then we'll get a triple batch all at once in the third week of August. Better late than never but good sweet corn is worth whatever it takes.
