JD 4600
Ordered the 60" root grapple from MTL attachments last week for my JD4600. It should be delivered today. Bill of lading shows 490lbs. I'll be adding a diverter valve to get the 3rd function on the loader too. I'll throw some pictures up later for others that may be interested. I'll put up some pictures of the valve install too.

Took about a week to process the order, then about three days to ship to Iowa. It was delivered by R&L Carriers. They gave me a window between 10AM-4PM that it would be delivered and the driver gave me about a 30 min heads up. Little difficult when you work away from home, but made it work out. It came wire banded to a regular pallet. Was able to use the loader quicktach to pick it off the semi.

Overall, I'm really impressed for the price. Welds are mostly good, with the exception of the quicktach pins not having full beads, but I don't foresee this being an issue down the road. Paint is ok, could be better as they missed a couple small spots on the bottom. No issues with fitment on the JD loader mounts. I think I'll be happy I went with the 60" version and not anything bigger.

My 4600 has a third SCV already mounted, but doesn't have the lines or cables to actuate it. JD used to sell a kit, but it puts the lever up on the right fender. I would rather have a button on the joystick, so I'm going my own route with a diverter setup. Ended up doing hoses for the loader instead of hardline too. I'll put up a final list later, but think I'll have ~$140 for the valve, ~$140 for fittings/hoses, and another ~$50 or so for the electronic bits.

I love my MTL. Used it again yesterday to remove two piles of slabs and a decent size brush pile.

Hope you like it after some hours in the seat.

... also Pic #1: you may want to get that grill guard filled in a little better before your JD loses an eye!

Was there an extra charge for delivery to your home?

They better hope mother Deere doesn't pay attention to their paint scheme...

Deere Wins Trademark Lawsuit in Protection of Green and Yellow Colors

Things like that can get muddy. Deere went after FIMCO specifically because they were trying to create a brand association. If MTL only sold green with yellow decals the same could be argued, and that looks like what they're doing with the JD attach grapple, but IANAL. I know that the onus is on JD to defend their trademark, less they end up loosing it.

Correct, they offer black, orange, or green. Its not their exclusive color for their grapple line.
