I have tried to attach a picture of my gear housing after a 5 minute drive. It is completely foam, I may be wrong but I don't think it is supposed to do that. I have no speed or power in 2nd and 3rd, and it won't even move on an incline. 1st has some speed, but very little power. I had to crack the tractor in the fall to break the clutch from the flywheel. Do you think I screwed something up putting it back together or could it be as simple as bad fluid?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I am quite sure about 2 issue in your case. First for the tractor not moving it more a clutch issue. You may try to adjust the pedal link. For the foam in the transmission it more a leak on the suction line. could be the o ring a the oil pump.

You are a geared tractor, the foam is in all probability water mixed in with the oil. Generally water can enter from a split rubber boot around the shifter. Replace if so , drain all fluid and replace with appropriate grade tractor hydraukic fluid.
I agree with clutch issue, again water can cause grief with the clutch sticking.
There is a screen to filter the fluid and if that is clogged it could also explain foam.
Milky frothy fluid is generally water mixed in.

I own a MT180D which is basically the same as your grey 1601. (4 digits=grey)

I agree with above and have one more thing to add. I think you have too much oil in there. There is a fill level plug on the side. When you drain and refill, take that fill level plug out. When oil starts running out while filling, you are done.

This may not help your specific current issues ( but I would look at adjusting your clutch pedal as described in the manual) and it may help in the future with other issues. http://home.comcast.net/~tdepooter/Mitsubishi MT160-180 Instruction Book Optimized.pdf is a free OEM operators manual for MT160/MT180 models. If you don't have one, save it to favorites AND print a copy. I&T's Mitsubishi MT160/MT180 or their MT160-Mt300 repair manual would be a must have. Almost always available on Ebay for under $20.
