mower links lowered, thanks

First of all, I'd like to apologize for my peavish posts. I went bonkers when the links didn't lower--should have attacked the problem rather than pissing and moaning. Thanks, Volfanth, yelp, the **** things just needed pulling down. So simple. And thanks Dusty and everyone else who put up with my rants and still offed good sound advise. However, I'm still not that happy with the Bx23.

I'm just wondering: Since the BX23 is simply "more" of nearly everything present on the BX1500, what would make it "crap" as you indicated in the previous thread? Not trying to open a wound, but it may be of benefit to the BX1500 owners or possible purchasers out there to hear it from an "upgrader" what the downsides of the switch are.

I would have figured it would be all positives since you were presumably already familiar with its operation and limitations.

My MMM links generally won't go down either without the MMM putting
weight on them, but what I do is go around the back and pull down the
3PH bars which lower the MMM links as well.

I love my BX-22; you couldn't pry it away from me...

Basically, the 2350 is a plastic tractor; the hydraulics are not that much better than the 1500, which was a metal tractor. no greater working capacity that I can tell. the 2350 doesn't handle my wood's 48 in box blade any better than the Bx 1500. As someone said in a thread a long time ago, it's not so much about horsepower as it is about traction. the horsepower for both tractors exceeds their traction capacity for handling the implements they're designed for. the hydrostatic foot-controls on the 2350 suck--you can easily get whiplash stopping in forward and trying to go in reverse. the seat angle will dump you on your butt if you don't hold on--and on and on regarding the plastic fenders, battery cover, et al.

Plus mine had and has a hydraulic leak from the get-go, which my dealer promises to fix with my 50 hr service.

While I haven't been witness the hydrostatic "stoppage" issue, I cannot disagree with any of your other points. Unfortunately. I got mine when I did so I'd have a "metal" tractor. And I liked the way the treadle was...fit my foot better, I guess.

Hope your feelings improve. Lot of money to dump into something you don't have the warm and fuzzies about.
