Mower Bolt Idea

Could something like this be cut down and made to work?

Looks good to me if you can find the right length and thickness of course.

I never have problems with the bolts coming loose. I break them off quite often on rocks sneaking up through the sand, but never have seem them loose. I check them about every hour of operation, each time I take a break.

I put them on and off with an air powered impact wrench.
