moving trees from woods to yard?

so far i've moved about 15 trees i'm having about a 75% success rate i was ambitionious in trying to move them during the summer but we've had almost 2 weeks of straight rain but now it's getting in the 90's and heat stress is kicking in.

I've started adding miracle grow to help lower the stress and i've added about a 2" layer of grass clippings as mulch.

i think it would also be a good idea to make a dike around the plants to help the catch water. also interesting to note your suppose to leave tree's approx. 2-3" above grade to allow settling according to many experts?

Go light on the Miracle Gro - it will encourage new growth that the roots won't be able to support. Just stick with the watering.

Great advice! I'd only add to help develope the roots, be sure to prune back some of the branches, especially the new growth.
