Moving grain

Needed to transfer 3100lbs of screenings for deer food into a bin. Made up a box to fit my snowblower, mounted on a pallet. First bag was 1300 lbs, Massey lifted full height with some complaining. Second bag was 1800 lbs, so I had to divide into two, no problem then. Once the assembly was lined up, the transfer went smoothly, took only a few minutes for each bag.

It"s just a treat for the wild whitetail in the area. Only do it in the winter. Throw out a couple five gal pails, they pick at it any time day or night. Usually have around a dozen come in, has been as high as twenty one at a time. I don't hunt, just like seeing them come around. Have a seed cleaning outfit about three miles away. The 1300 lbs of peas was $130, the other 1800 was from a quarter of barley, was a freebee, customer didn't want the waste. Should last all next winter.

Great way to move it and a very nice thing to do for the deer. Winter is tough on them.

Gotta like that. That's how I got my 3ph blower. Father inlaw needed to move a bunch of grain so he bought one for the job. Once it was moved he had no use for it so he gave it to me.
